Card.Fun's Disney 100 Merry Christmas set arrived in 2023 as part of the broader celebration of Disney's centennial milestone. These sets represent the modern trading card renaissance, where publishers continue to expand beyond traditional sports cards into entertainment properties. Holiday-themed card releases have become collector staples, blending nostalgia with contemporary production values and special foiling techniques that appeal to both Disney enthusiasts and card hobbyists alike. Lotso, the antagonistic pink bear from Toy Story 3, appears here in festive form—a character design that resonates with collectors who appreciate deeper cuts from the Disney canon. The combination of a beloved villain character and Christmas theming creates appeal across multiple collecting niches, drawing in both casual Disney fans and those specifically hunting character variants from popular films.
