Card.Fun's Disney 100 Merry Christmas release celebrated the studio's centennial with a festive twist, capturing collector interest through creative die-cut designs that departed from standard rectangular formats. Released in 2023, this set arrived during a period of renewed enthusiasm for Disney properties in the trading card hobby, blending nostalgia with contemporary collecting appeal. Die-cut cards remain sought-after across the hobby for their visual distinctiveness and the technical challenge they represent in production. Lightning McQueen, the charismatic race car protagonist from Pixar's Cars franchise, brings beloved character recognition to this holiday-themed release. The die-cut treatment lends itself particularly well to McQueen's distinctive shape and design, creating a visually engaging piece that appeals to both Disney enthusiasts and character collectors. This card represents the intersection of animation fandom and trading card artistry that defines modern Disney collectibles.
