The 1991 Impel Disney Collector Cards set represents an important bridge in trading card history, when the hobby began expanding beyond sports into entertainment properties. Impel's foray into Disney licensing brought the same quality production values and collecting appeal they'd established in other markets, introducing a generation of collectors to non-sports cards during a pivotal moment in the industry's growth. Safari Surprise captures the adventurous spirit of classic Disney storytelling, with vibrant artwork that embodies the set's celebratory approach to the studio's animated catalog. This card appeals to both Disney enthusiasts and vintage card collectors who appreciate Impel's particular blend of artistic presentation and print quality from this era.
