The Disney 100 collaboration marked a significant moment in Weiss Schwarz's history, celebrating a century of Disney storytelling through beautifully illustrated cards. Released in 2023, this Japanese set captured the magic of beloved animated classics during a peak period for anime trading cards. The release resonated with collectors seeking to bridge their love of Disney animation with the Japanese card game aesthetic, making it one of the year's most anticipated crossover products. Bambi's inclusion as a young fawn reflects the character's iconic first appearance in the 1942 film, rendered in the soft, detailed illustration style characteristic of this set. Collectors are drawn to early Disney character cards for their nostalgic appeal and artistic presentation, particularly when depicting animals and forest scenes that defined the studio's golden age animation.
