The Disney 100 set marked a significant moment for Weiss Schwarz, celebrating the centennial of Walt Disney Productions through a Japanese trading card release. This 2023 set brought together beloved characters across the company's extensive catalog, appealing to both anime card collectors and Disney enthusiasts. The collaboration represented the growing intersection of Japanese TCG culture with Western entertainment properties, making it a notable release during the hobby's continued international expansion. Pongo and Perdita, the devoted Dalmatian parents from the 1961 classic "101 Dalmatians," capture one of Disney's most endearing relationships. Their pairing on this card highlights the emotional storytelling that defines the film—their determination to rescue their puppies resonates with collectors seeking characters representing loyalty and family. This card preserves an iconic duo from Disney's animation legacy.
